Ellingson Open Range was a top selling bull in Ellingson's 2022 production sale from the first calf crop of Ellingson Rangeland. Open Range 1035 will improve overall maternal qualities, structural integrity, fertility, and calving ease with extra performance. He is a direct son of EA Bells Girl 2181, the iconic donor that was the ‘Pick of the Herd” in 2020, selected by Ingram Angus. There are five full sisters to Open Range retained in the Ellingson donor program. At the 2021 sale, a maternal sister. EA Bells Girl 7617 produced the Lot 1 top selling Ellingson Badlands 0285. At the 2025 EA production sale the high selling Bold son's dam was Open Ranges flushmate. A true testament to her maternal excellence, Open Range has proved himself to be a calving ease sire mostly because of his phenotype. We are pleased to present our newest herd sire in 2024. Welcome Ellingson Profile ! We toured the bulls at EA in December of 2023 and said “OK, find your top picks and we’ll compare notes after”… little did we know we had both selected the Lot 2 bull in this years sale. From the 6409 pathfinder dam that produced the second high selling bull in the 2023 sale; Ellingson Navigator, came the Lots 1 and 2 Prolific sons. Lot 1 sold for $295,000 and we were fortunate to partner with Nordal Angus on the Lot 2 Profile bull. An outcross to Open Range he has all the qualities we look for in a great herdsire. Phenomenal growth, excellent feet, high scrotal and superior phenotype with genomic dominance represent the thrilling potential and possibilities of what this young sire is capable of in the beef breed. Top 1% in Weaning Weight, Yearling Weight, Claw, Angle, and Carcass Weight.

Ellingson Three Forks 0252 was the #1 weaning and yearling weight bull in the 2021 Ellingson Angus sale offering and our $32,000 selection. His dam is JP's all time favourite cow, EA Queen Dolly 3246, a cornerstone of the EA herd with authentic angus characteristics and maternal excellence. Maternal brothers include the $110,000 EA Rider Pride 7282. Three Forks had the heaviest weaning weight of 1030 pounds off his naturally born Queen Dolly dam, earning a 112 weaning index. In the 2021 Ellingson production sale 3 sons of Queen Dolly averaged $28,500 and in 2022, 4 sons averaged $21,600. Look to Three Forks to sire increased weaning and yearling weights, expedited growth and superior feedlot efficiencies while improving Angus phenotype. Top 1 % to 4 % in 8 GS traits. The first calves will be offered in 2023.

When we purchased the WCC Primrose S414 Cow from Pine Coulee in Montana we had no idea the impact this cow would have on our program. The Woodrow 3D bull, a calving ease Resource son, came in calf when we purchased this cow. Great footed this young sire had a huge calf crop in 2018. They are the top of the pen.

We love to tour and look at Angus herds across the country. We were attending the 2018 North Dakota Angus Tour and found a mature herd sire, displayed with his daughters that checked all the boxes. At 5 years of age and having perfect hoof and leg structure, “Junior” has the qualities to add muscle and gain to his offspring. Thank you to the Maher Ranch of South Dakota for allowing us to purchase this new Herd sire. Junior will see extensive use in 2019.

JP found, Bushs County Line 91 in Scott’s 2016 Bull Pen at the Denver Stock Show. A Mohen South Dakota son out of the foundation “Maternal Line’ family. There are 11 Pathfinders in #91’s three generation pedigree. That’s almost unheard of in the American Angus Assoc. We expect to see a big influence for years to come from these genetics.

Right place at the right time….DBRL Titan 29X was raised at the Diamond B Ranch and sired by powerhouse sire, DBRL 03 Titan 4T. His dam is the beautiful female, DBRL 4336 Della 28S by SAV 004 Density. We were fortunate to purchase Titan 29X at the Glendor Dispersal in 2013 and had to wait a long two years to see his offspring. …

It was well worth the wait as he sired our “Pen of Three Bull Calves” and the show heifer JPM Queen Ruth 7C. JP 7C placed second in her class to the overall champion at Agribition and a earned a Reserve Grand Champion female title in Lloydminster.
